𝐔𝐒𝐀𝐈𝐃 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐀'𝐬 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐢-𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐓𝐚𝐩𝐞 & 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬

In his keynote address during the Ease of Doing Business Convention held in Manila last 29 November 2023, Deputy Chief of Mission Robert Ewing underscored the contribution of the United States to the Philippines' economic growth over a century on behalf of Her Excellency US Ambassador MaryKay L. Carlson. Mr. Ewing commended the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) during the public launch event for unveiling two groundbreaking systems, namely, the Philippines Business Regulations Information System (PBRIS) and the Anti-Red Tape Electronic Management Information System (ARTEMIS). These systems were co-developed by ARTA and the USAID Regulatory Support Program for National Development (RESPOND) through the U.P. Public Administration Research and Extension Services Foundation, Inc. (UPPAF). Expressing admiration for the monumental stride achieved by ARTA and the USAID RESPOND Project in streamlining bureaucratic procedures and fostering a conducive business environment, Mr. Ewing highlighted the significance of these systems' launch in fortifying the nation's regulatory landscape, aimed at enhancing economic prosperity and efficiency.
